Why endure a reduced quality of life without restoring gaps?
A lot of us may lose one, two or even several teeth during our lifetime due to gum disease or accidents and this can have the following implications:
At the Oatlands Dental Lounge we have several options for replacing one or several teeth. Your dentist will conduct a full assessment so that we can discuss which tooth replacement option is best for you.

When a number of teeth are missing, there are various options available. You may choose to have a denture. But over time, your gums will recede and the denture may not fit as well. You could choose to have implants to secure the denture. One way is a small number of implants with a bar and magnets to hold the denture another is a small number of implants to which the denture is secured or a greater number of implants onto which a set of teeth and permanently fitted.
Often denture wearers complain of denture movement particularly when eating or even talking!
Precision attachments can be the answer. When the crown is made, a small slot is created into which a tab, attached to the denture, fits perfectly This ensures a secure and movement-free denture.
A number of implants may be used to secure a lower denture. A hole is made in the jaw bone for each Implant. The Implant is placed and a healing cap fitted. The gum is replaced while the bone recovers. Access to the Implant is made and the second part of the Implant is attached. Tiny magnets in the denture then keep it securely in place.
