The above patient presented with a poorly shaped and coloured restoration on the upper right central tooth. The underlying tooth had darkened due to the nerve dying many years ago. Masking the underlying dull shade seems to have been one of the difficulties in the past. By careful management of the colour with some tooth whitening and use of a high quality porcelain restoration, a desirable aesthetic result was achieved.
