Restylane® skin boosters deliver gentle yet deep moisturisation for skin affected by signs of ageing, such as dehydration and loss of luminosity and firmness.

Restylane® skin boosters: rehydration and rejuvenation for tired-looking skin. Restylane® skin boosters can be injected over the course of 2 or 3 treatments spaced 2-4 weeks apart. The microinjections of hyaluronic acid encourage the skin to create its own natural hydration, acting as a plumping agent that simultaneously firms and smoothens the skin.

Treatment results in a gradual change in skin quality and laxity. You can expect visibly smoother skin and a more radiant overall complexion. Unlike fillers, skin boosters are not skin-plumping and, therefore, will not fill deep folds and hollow areas of skin. The most frequently treated areas include lines around the mouth and accordion lines on the side of the face in the cheek region.

Restylane® skin boosters can benefit your skin in the following ways:

  • Improve the texture and appearance of crepe-like skin.
  • Boost your skin’s hydration capacities.
  • Treat sun damage on the face, décolletage, and hands.
  • Improve skin laxity.
  • Help reduce acne scars.
  • Improve skin roughness.

FAQs

1. Am I suited to Restylane® skin boosters?

The majority of adults are suitable for Restylane® skin boosters though we will always precede any treatment with an in-depth consultation that seeks to ascertain your suitability from a medical standpoint and to establish how we can meet your specific concerns. Pregnant and breastfeeding women are not suitable for injectable hyaluronic acid-based treatments such as Restylane® skin boosters.

Restylane® skin boosters are suited to patients with skin that requires deep hydration. This is characterised by crepe-like skin that appears to have lost its natural brightness, which can occur due to factors such as ageing, photodamage, smoking and a diet lacking in sufficient vitamins and minerals.

Restylane® skin boosters deliver the level of hydration needed to revitalise the skin, whereas treatments such as dermal fillers add volume to specific sites, making them more suitable for improving skin atrophy.

2. What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid is a molecule that delivers hydration to skin cells. As we get older, the levels of hyaluronic acid in the skin decrease, resulting in a reduction in skin volume and suppleness. This gives way to other tell-tale signs of ageing, such as wrinkles, fine lines, and a loss of skin laxity.

Hyaluronic acid is a vital component for youthful and hydrated-looking skin with natural radiance and freshness.

3. How soon will I notice the results?

Restylane® is a hardworking and fast-acting treatment. As a gel-based product, Restylane® can instantly benefit the sub-dermal layers of skin.

From day one (and often within hours of your treatment), you will notice a marked difference in the quality and texture of your skin.

4. What is the difference between Profhilo® and Skin Boosters?

The main difference between skin boosters and Profhilo® is that the skin booster molecules are bonded, allowing the effect to last longer, but this means they do not spread across the skin like Profhilo®; instead, they act more locally.
